A Thankful Holiday for Callaway

A Thankful Holiday for Callaway

Callaway Golf was indeed thankful this past Thanksgiving week as they were a dominant presence in the bags of all 4 superstar participants in The Match III and in the winner’s bag on the European Tour. Steph Curry and Phil Mickelson wheel a full bag of Callaway gear, except for one interesting choice for Lefty. Sir Charles plays the brand’s driver. Even though the game plan was to hit a lot of irons from his special “Chuck tees”, #34 opted for Callaway’s newest slice-killer option, the B21. Being the perfect poster-boy for the mid to high handicap, Barkley’s BB21, or Big Bertha 21, is a forgiving draw bias model for the golfer who struggles with a slice. Peyton Manning has switched to a PXG Prototype driver since the last made-for-tv match but still played a Callaway Rogue fairway wood. Callaway staffer Christiaan Bezuidenhout (you’re on your own as far as pronunciation goes) enjoyed a 4-shot victory with a full bag of Callaway at the European Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Championship. Let’s take a look at each player’s bag and see where you can get what the big dawgs play at GolfHQ.com.

Fantasy Picks: We head into the final event on the calendar for a wild and weird 2020 before the holiday break and Hawaii in 2021. The Mayakoba Classic is the event and Mexico is the spot. Winner Abraham Ancer gotta go with the guy playing in his home country who has been playing awesome all year. Will contend Justin Thomas A surprisingly good field this late in the year but he’s here to contend and win. Sleeper Patton Kizzire Hasn’t done much as of late but is a former winner here and golf is all about comfort and good vibes.

Enjoy the game and each other,
Seth Zipay – Head Golf Professional
