The Callaway Great Big Bertha Epic Driver features revolutionary new Jailbreak Technology which creates faster ball speed for increased distance off the tee. The innovative new design places lightweight titanium jailbreak bars inside the head which connect the crown and sole.

With a normal driver, the crown typically bulges upward and the sole bulges downward at impact. Callaway’s Jailbreak bars create a strong vertical connection between the crown and sole to stop that bulging and double the impact load on the face of the club. This effect, referred to by physicists as “Energy Lensing”, directs more energy across a larger area of the face at impact for increased speed and distance.

In addition to improved distance, the Callaway Great Big Bertha Epic Driver also provides maximum forgiveness with its combination of a Triaxial Carbon Crown and a titanium Exo-Cage. The Triaxial carbon construction is Callaway’s lightest ever in a driver at just 9.7 grams. This design has allowed more weight to be repositioned in order to promote unmatched forgiveness.

The head of the Callaway Great Big Bertha Epic Driver also features the company’s proprietary Speed Step design. The Speed Step was created with the help of experts in the aerospace industry to enhance swing speed and distance by optimizing air flow.

Golfers will also have more precise control over shaping their shots with improved adjustable perimeter weighting. The track has been redesigned with a sliding 17 gram weight to give golfers the ability to alter their shot trajectory by 21 yards.

The Callaway Great Big Bertha Epic Driver comes equipped with 8-way OptiFit Adjustablity for loft and lie angle. Golfers can choose Draw or Neutral for their lie angle option and can adjust up to +2° or down -1° from the stated loft.
